Family-friendly chain serving American comfort food with a Texas twist, plus cocktails.

We use quality ingredients and take the time to prepare them in our kitchen because it tastes better that way. And really, isn’t that the point?

At Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, we’ve been graciously serving made-from-scratch goodness since 1979. Our founders, Aubrey Good and Doug Rogers, believed that when a meal is prepared and cooked fresh just for you, it not only tastes better, it makes you feel good.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen serves made-from-scratch favorites in a welcoming place. Enjoy House Smoked Baby Back Ribs, hand-battered Country Fried Chicken, Scratch Burgers, Homemade Onion Rings.

copper crown is the result of a dream 11 years in the making. Our mission is to provide a neighborhood gathering place in our community of East Asheville where delicious food and drinks may be enjoyed by all. We are nestled between many neighborhoods, including Beverly Hills, Haw Creek, Oteen and others. We are conveniently located en route to the Blue Ridge Parkway and a few minutes drive away from downtown.

We aim to provide a little something for everyone, and offer dinner seven days a week as well as lunch/brunch on both Saturday and Sunday, with menus focused on seasonal and locally sourced goods. All of our menus reflect both the diversity of our influences (American South, Italy, & New Orleans to name a few) as well as our support of many local farms.

Our bar program features signature cocktails, 8 draft beers, bottled beer selections, and full wine list. We have a fun list of spirited beverages for lunch/brunch as well. Stop by after work for a drink on our patio or join us for drinks later into the evening on the weekends.

Our dining room offers a cozy and unique environment that speaks to our love of modern-retro design. We were honored to partner with Form & Function Architecture and Design to bring our dreams to reality in creating a space that is both warm and entirely fresh.

An innovative, daily changing global menu & cocktails served in a modest cinder-block building.
The Admiral embarked not with a set course, but steered more in a general direction.  In 2007,  we aspired to create an unexpected restaurant that thrived on its talent and creativity.

With the procurement of a modest cinderblock building on the wage earning side of town we succeeded in our goal – to serve an inventive cuisine without having to hold on to convention, all in an atmosphere that lacks the restraints of standard technique.

We hope you find our décor timeless, our service gentle, and our cuisine inventive and delicious.

I want Rhubarb to be where the important stuff happens.

I believe in the power of the table, the value of passing food, and of sharing stories and listening. These moments around a shared table deepen the ties between people we care about, in turn strengthening the web of our families, friendships, and communities.

Sharing food is transformative. I have experienced it throughout my life with family and friends and strangers. As a chef, I have witnessed how sharing a meal can reveal insights and discovery – often unexpected – about who we are and why we do what we do. These experiences deepen the connections between us, connections that ultimately elevate our lives.

20 Wall St, Asheville, NC 28801

Farm-to-table American cuisine, craft cocktails & a robust wine list in an upscale-casual setting.

We are a group of cooks, farmers, waiters, cheese-makers, organizers, ranchers, brewers and dishwashers who share a common philosophy about how we eat and in a larger sense, about life.

We believe in the importance of working locally, not just using ingredients from our surrounding area, but also in our contribution to the community. The success of our restaurant has always been closely entwined with the health and progress of our community. For 35 years we have supported the arts, local-needs and education programs.

Our clients have returned over the decades, we hope in part because we have always tried to treat them as family… and friends. Some might say, our food tastes good, perhaps even memorable. Each day, we do our utmost to prepare and present fresh food in a creative manner with a craftsman’s hand. Working in the most sustainable way possible is important.

The Market Place has been a fixture in downtown Asheville since 1979. Though it’s beginnings rose in the streams and mountains of western North Carolina – a place of mountain trout and small farms – it also has a hand and heart inspired by traditions far from our borders. This mélange of local food prepared with other worldly traditions of the table may have helped the Market Place garner national attention but the keen reverence for the heritage and roots of Appalachia has always remained at the center of what we do.

Jargon – Continental Social Cuisine

What is Jargon, exactly? Well, for us it’s the language of the places we’ve been, music we’ve heard, books we’ve read, people we’ve met, and conversations we’ve had. Jargon is the language of delicious food ~ and here, we want to celebrate all those things. So we’ve built a place and a commitment to exactly that.

Located in the heart of West Asheville, we have lovingly restored a small, nationally registered historical building at 715 Haywood Road to house this little dream. Like the turn-of-the-century electric trolleys that transported people here to West Asheville’s variety of shops, boutiques, and cafes, we hope that Jargon will be one of your favorite stops.
