I want Rhubarb to be where the important stuff happens.
I believe in the power of the table, the value of passing food, and of sharing stories and listening. These moments around a shared table deepen the ties between people we care about, in turn strengthening the web of our families, friendships, and communities.
Sharing food is transformative. I have experienced it throughout my life with family and friends and strangers. As a chef, I have witnessed how sharing a meal can reveal insights and discovery – often unexpected – about who we are and why we do what we do. These experiences deepen the connections between us, connections that ultimately elevate our lives.

Long before working and training under some of San Francisco’s most talented chefs, Hugo Ramirez was raised on the intense and varied flavors native to his hometown of Mexico City. In fact, he still calls on his mother for the secrets of traditional Mexican dishes, which he reinvents in innovative and surprising ways. At Limones, Hugo’s love of Mexican food is combined with his training in french-influenced California cuisine.
At Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack, we pay homage to “Nashville style” hot chicken and southern soul food. We prepare our unique fried chicken to order and it all starts as “Plain.” From there we can add the spice from mild to extra hot (lots of folk just love it without the spice).
We take pride in being one of Asheville’s locally owned, independent restaurants. We source quality and local ingredients for the classic American recipes that we make from scratch daily. Our birds are naturally raised for superior quality and flavor.

Guiding is our passion. Sure we love catching fish on our days off, but sharing the experience is far more rewarding. We are guides and instructors who enjoy helping both beginners and advanced anglers alike. Being a professional guide requires a diverse set of skills, not just being able to put people on fish. A professional guide is patient under pressure, a teacher and coach to their clients, has excellent work ethic in all situations, has a keen sense of awareness and the ability to adapt to different learning styles, fishing styles and personalities. All AFFC guides are endorsed by multiple gear companies which allows us to provide you with the best gear available. We are dedicated to giving you the best service you have ever experienced, and to always enjoy as much river experience as possible while putting fish in the net. We are problem solvers who enjoy the connections and process just as much as the pull. We push each other to be innovative, aware of the fine details and to always anticipate the next move gracefully and with respect. Our first time out with you, we take note of the details that make a difference to you. From the moment we meet you onward, we go the extra miles so you are right where you want to be, fishing better and laughing louder.

More advanced anglers will appreciate the ability to access more river mileage leading to the most opportunities to target the best spots of the river. Many anglers will also use our float trips to get an early start on their season and tune their techniques locally prior to traveling to fish Western rivers in the summer months.
Our Guided Fly Fishing Float Trips are the best fit if you’d prefer to access several miles of water and spend most of your day practicing your fly fishing and fly casting skills, all from the comfort of a boat.
